Selected Batang DICES actively attend the 6th STMF at SGA

Selected Grades 1-5 Batang DICES participated in the  6th Saint Therese Mission Festival with the theme: “SANTA TERESITA: MODELO NG BATANG DICES PARA SA MISYON NG SINODAL NA SIMBAHAN” on April 6, 2024, at St. Gregory Academy in Indang, Cavite.

 

 

The said event, which was held from 8:00 am-5:30 pm, commenced  with a lively Karakol in which the participants danced from the assembly point Cavite State University-Main Campus to St. Gregory Academy school grounds.

 

 

The mission festival also highlighted the Acceptance Rite led by SGA School Principal Mr. Joey Mojica and the welcome remarks given by SGA Asst. Principal Ms. Floricel Laroya.

 

 

During the Plenary Session, Rev. Fr. Knoriel Alvarez, inspirational speaker, gave the overview of the campaign “Sapat Dapat Para Sa Lahat” (Kapag Nabuhay Nang Labis-Labis Mayroong Kapwa Na Nahahapis) and underscored the significance of generosity and sensitivity to the cries of other people. In addition, Fr. Knoriel discussed the negative effects of indifference, comfort, and materialism and encouraged the participants to live a simple life and share what they have to others.

                                                                                        

The attendees then participated in the “Sharing of Schools,”  led by Ms. Shionie Tabada, Coordinator for Christian Values Integration from Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic School.

 

As one of the much-awaited parts of the mission festival, simultaneous activities were conducted for the Batang DICES who  joined in the different activities that helped them develop their God-given talents during the event, including Clay Sculpting, Cooking/Food Preparation, Declamation, Poetry Making and Telling, and Audio-Visual Presentation.

 

The Adoration was then led by Rev, Fr. Marty Dimaranan, parish priest of St. Gregory Parish and the school chaplain of St. Gregory Academy School.

 

Later In the afternoon, the winners of the simultaneous activities were given recognition through the certificates awarded by Rev. Fr. Alain P. Manalo, DICES Superintendent.

 

Most Rev. Reynaldo G. Evangelista, D.D., Bishop of Imus, presided over the Eucharistic celebration and urged all the Batang DICES missionaries to  live in simplicity like St. Therese and put love at the forefront of their daily lives.

 

Mr. Bryan Esguerra, Secretary to the Superintendent, gave the message of gratitude to the host school and all those who have made the 6th St. Therese Mission Festival a success. He also  praised the attendees for having given their best efforts in taking part in all the activities.

 

The host school for the 7th St. Therese Mission Festival, as announced by Bishop Rey Evangelista through a simple program, is Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic School.

 

The symbolic passing of the emblem or symbol of St. Therese was conducted by St. Gregory Academy and Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic School, led by their respective school principals Mr. Joey Mojica and Mr. Michael Mojica.

 

Participating in the event proved to be memorable achievement for all the attendees who went home with a smile on their faces, knowing that they have gained meaningful experience through the 6th St. Therese Mission Festival.
