Physical Plant Personnel Apply Hands-On Training in Electrical Installation and Maintenance

Fifty-seven Physical Plant Coordinators and maintenance personnel from the different
DICES member schools convened at St. Jude Parish School for the third session of the
“Electrical Installation and Maintenance Certification Program,” on July 6, 2024, from
9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Hosted by DICES in partnership with the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers
Northern Cavite Chapter (IIEE-NCC), the comprehensive session focused on advancing
skills in Electrical Lighting and Power Installation, emphasizing practical application.

The training was headed by Mr. Romar B. Reyes, DICES Support Team Leader for
Physical Plant, who also assisted the officers of IIEE-NCC throughout the event.

Engr. Frankie D. Aguilar, Vice President – External; Engr. Mhon Ducay, Co-chairman for
Registered Master Electricians (RME) Affairs; and Engr. Jonas Mojica, IIEE-NCC
Secretary, supervised the practical application activities.

Led by experts from the IIEE-NCC, the morning session laid a solid foundation of
theoretical knowledge centered on systematic diagrams.

In addition, the attendees were divided into five groups and were given the opportunity to
actively engage in dissecting and understanding electrical configurations crucial to their
roles.

The hands-on application took place in the afternoon, in which attendees applied their
insights under the guidance of professionals. Furthermore, simultaneous coaching
throughout the exercises ensured that every participant received personalized attention
and support.

With focused and practical training experiences provided to the attendees, the program,
spearheaded by the DICES Support Team, continues to enhance the knowledge, skills,
and confidence of the physical plant and maintenance personnel in managing electrical
systems for the safety and welfare of their respective schools.

The final session of the training will be conducted on July 13, 2024.
