DICES ICT/Robotics Coordinators Attend Techfactors’ Courseware Implementation Training

Through the initiative of Diocese of Imus Catholic Educational System, Inc. aimed at
revolutionizing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) education across the DICES
member schools, ICT/Robotics Coordinators from primary, intermediate, and junior high school
levels converged for an intensive training program on July 4-5, 2024, at CADIPSA Center,
Mendez, Cavite.
Facilitated by TechFactors, Inc., an e-learning company and ICT curriculum provider in the
Philippines, the "Courseware Implementation Training" was conducted with significant activities
that integrated technology in basic education.
The training commenced on July 4, 2024, with a Plenary Talk on Problem-based learning.
Participants were then divided into six specialized groups, each dedicated to exploring various
relevant topics on ICT integration:
? Explorers (Room 1): Unveiling new realms in educational technology
? Creators 1 (Room 2): Fostering creativity through technological tools
? Arduino 1-2 (Room 3): Hands-on experience with Arduino for educational applications
? Web Design and JavaScript (Room 4): Crafting web experiences through coding
? Programming and Database (Java C++) (Room 5): Delving into the depths of
programming languages and databases
? Database, Presentation, Multimedia, and Spreadsheet (Room 6): Harnessing multimedia
for interactive learning
Guided by facilitators namely: Mr. Dennis Jefferson Amora, training Officer in Robotics of
TechFactors; Ms. Shella Maikha J. Ente, A former Robotics Trainer/Teacher at University of
Perpetual Help System Dalta-Molino Campus; Ms. Meldy A. Villar, Content Developer for
Robotek and ScienceTek; Ms. Rogielyn Aterado, ICT trainer, Coding teacher; Mr. Jerwin dela
Cruz, Outsource Trainer at TechFactors; and Mr. Francis Paul Adrian S. Ayson, instructor/trainer
for ICT and Robotics Training, participants immersed themselves in practical workshops tailored
to enhance both teaching methodologies related to ICT.
The first training day concluded with a 'socialization night,’ fostering camaraderie among
participants through engaging activities and a raffle draw through which exciting prizes were
given by Techfactors.
The second day of the training geared toward the continuation of specialized sessions tailored
to further elevate ICT education:
? Innovators (Room 1): Pioneering new solutions through technological innovation
? Creators 1 (Room 2): Continuation of creative exploration in ICT
? Arduino 3-4 (Room 3): Advanced applications of Arduino technology
? Digital Arts and Video Production (Room 4): Unleashing creativity in digital media
? Programming and Database (VB.Net, MobileAppDev) (Room 5): Diving deeper into
application development and databases
? Programming Scratch (Room 6): Introducing coding concepts through Scratch

Each of the training days was held from 8:00AM-5:00PM.
The culmination of the training program featured an awarding ceremony, where all participants
were recognized for their dedication and commitment during the said training.
The "Courseware Implementation Training," facilitated by TechFactors and initiated by DICES,
underscores the power of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning in shaping the
future of ICT education.
